Hey

This topic raised attention for that matter: ps3-ylod-t516.html

I still got www.play-station3.com which we could use for it, thats obviously the most awesome domain for a ps3 related website you can have, playstation3.com is owned by sony.
What do you guys think would it be needed, ideas are welcome on the actual page and contribution wanted.

There are many websites for PS3 repairing Before searching on internet you should check the basic things in your system whether the cables are correctly fitted in to the sockets and are not loose. The beep sound you heard is not a serious problem but it may cause your PS3 to not work properly. Even if it will not turn into green light then think other measures. The console can be repaired by you. But it is recommended only if your warranty has already expired or if you believe that you can fix the problem.

I would be willing to help out with that as there is nothing outhere about them. Sony has lips sealed. I have 5 PS3's that have had me stumped for about a month with the blinking red light. I tested the PSU, Fan, Reeflowed the EE+GS chip (Playstation 2 CPU and GPU combined), Cell Processor and the RSX chip no luck. The biggest difficulty is finding out what the issue is with no error codes displayed it like trying to find a needle in a haystack.

Yeah it would be nice but I dont think there are many ps3 experts out there.

I only know a few things about 'em. I did successfully reflow a ps3 but it was pretty sketchy... I wasn't quite sure about profiles or how exactly to do it.

The other really common problem is with their lasers. Apparently is because of a cold solder joint and they are repairable. I tried to repair one once and pretty much failed.

Ps3s are just cumbersome. I dislike everything about the design. 360s are much more simple and straightforward.
